Hide AdGill Lyle, commercial services manager at Age UK Bucks said: “The event was very successful and we had a lot of people turn up to celebrate this special anniversary.”
Mrs Lyle originally joined the charity as a volunteer befriender and said she felt this role was amongst the charity’s most important work.
She said: “I first got involved as a befriender when my mum died and I get a huge amount out of it.
“It is a great way of having a real friendship with an older person.
