Can you help to identify this suspected big cat which is thought to be stalking the Home Counties after one of our readers spotted it walking in a field.

The reader, who has asked to remain anonymous, saw the animal on Sunday night (April 17) at around 6pm on Chaulden Lane in nearby Hertfordshire.

They told us: “We saw what we are quite confident was a puma walking on a field.

“We were able to observe the animal in details for about two minutes until it walked into the hedgerow. It was large and powerful.

“My partner is very interested into wildlife and recognised it as a puma. We have managed to take a picture from our phone. It barely does justice to what we both witnessed.”
